Method used to increase the number of good plants in a seed lot. A seed sample is divided into several fractions that may vary in quality. Priming Is a seed enhancement treatment that helps improve the speed of germination, increases uniformity, and promotes earlier and stronger seedlings.

Pelleting

Pelleting is a process to mechanize the seeds so they have a uniform size to facilitate their quick and regular distribution on trays through precision sowing equipment. Different pellet types are used depending on the crop and sowing conditions.

Encrusting

A sort of pelleting powder to have low weight increase with full seed coverage. To have good adhesion on the seeds, we offer a binder with a powder.

Pelleting materials

Materials to make pellets from seeds. For example split pill, melting pill or light pellet. They must accomplish their mechanical purposes during the sowing process (size, hardness, weight, etc.). These materials also, need to have the lowest possible negative impact on seed germination, pelleting without accumulation of the pelleting equipment and a fast dryable composition. We also offer additives to these pelleting materials to steer water uptake, to improve the strength or to improve survival of inoculants.
